Blazes Pitbull Rescue was established by James Springs in loving memory of his best friend, Blaze, who was lost too soon to illness. Since then, James has dedicated his life to advocating for this often-misunderstood breed. Driven by the belief that every pitbull deserves a second chance at a happy life, James is committed to exhaustive rescue efforts. He maintains a firm policy against unnecessary euthanasia, choosing it only as a last resort in cases of terminal illness where a dog’s quality of life cannot be restored. At Blazes Pitbull Rescue, we do everything in our power to ensure every dog has a future.
Catherine R. Krizni serves as the COO and Vice President of Blazes Pitbull Rescue, where she oversees the vital operations that turn our mission into reality. With a deep passion for animal welfare and a focus on sustainable rescue practices, Catherine ensures that every dog entering our care receives the resources they need to thrive. She works alongside James to advocate for the breed and manage the complex logistics of rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. Her dedication is fueled by the same "rescue-first" philosophy that defines our organization: providing a voice for the voiceless and fighting for every second chance.
Whether you're facing the difficult decision of surrendering your pitbull or are searching for a loving companion through adoption, Blazes Pitbull Rescue is committed to providing support and resources. Our primary mission is to save pitbulls, and we extend our expertise by offering guidance and advice to current pitbull owners who are navigating behavioral challenges, ensuring the well-being of both the dogs and their families.
